Oxford Finance Leaders' Forum
Oxford Finance Leaders’ Forum is running a breakfast event for finance leaders, this time sponsored by Ricosta Capital. Richard Mason will be giving a talk entitled ‘Funding implications of Trump’. Le Havre, Normandy, France
Twinning: 30th Anniversary Event
This year TVSCA will be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of our twinning agreement with the Conseil Régional de l’Ordre des Experts-Comptables – Normandie and are planning a visit to Le Havre in Normandy on 8 October 2025 for the following event.
- 3pm Visit to Le Port du Havre.
- 5pm A conference on the subject of electronic invoice obligations
and uses in Europe. - 7pm Birthday party starting with a ‘discours’ by founders of the twinning arrangement.
Our tenth Anniversary celebration was held in Rouen in 2005 and our twentieth Anniversary was held in Old Windsor, in 2015 which was attended by just under a dozen delegates from Normandy.
It would be wonderful if our Thames Valley members, particularly those who do business in France, can attend this event in at least the same numbers as Normandy members attended the twentieth.

UK Government Small Business Regulatory Taskforce
ICAEW has been invited to join a new UK Government Small Business Regulatory Taskforce which is looking at ways to reduce regulatory burdens on small businesses and is keen to gather insights from members who run, work with, or advise small businesses to help shape ICAEW’s response.
Meghan Doyle (ICAEW Regional Director, London and the South East) is hosting two virtual discussion sessions to explore two questions:
🔹 What regulatory and administrative burdens are having the biggest impact on small businesses?
🔹 What practical, targeted changes should the Taskforce consider to reduce those burdens?

This is a valuable opportunity for the government to hear the experiences and views of ICAEW members.

Reading Tech Cluster Summer Lunicorn Festival
In just one day the RTC is bringing founders, investors, advisers, sponsors, academics, students and supporters of the regional tech sector together for a full day of pitches, conversations, connections and celebration.
The Lunicorn Festival is three connected events: the Summer Pitch Event at Green Park Conference Centre, a Walk in the Park through beautiful Green Park, and the Summer Party at Reading Football Club.
You can join one part or better still, come to all three.
Eight regional tech firms will be pitching and there will also be a keynote from Lauren Crawley-Moore from the London Stock Exchange Group.
